VISIT JAPAN
During a recent trip to Japan, our Creative Director Mitch set himself the challenge to capture the country in a way that he hadn’t seen done before, choosing to focus on capturing photos that told the stories of the people, while also mixing in some of Japan’s breathtaking natural landscapes.
The Challenge
Japan is one of the world's most photographed destinations, which makes the creative challenge clear: how do you create imagery that cuts through the familiar and captures something that actually makes people want to book a flight? The goal was to build a body of work spanning lifestyle, landscape, portrait, and travel photography that could serve as a genuine pitch to tourism boards and travel brands.
The Creative Process
Rather than chasing the obvious landmarks, the focus was on contrast: the tension between ancient and modern, the stillness of rural landscapes against the energy of city life, and the quiet human moments that rarely make it into tourism campaigns. The result is a collection that showcases Japan as a country that rewards the curious traveller, whatever their style of exploration.
